100% this. It sucks that VC's and Cryptbros have hijacked the term Web3 and turned it into another buzzword for the blockchain. I cringe every time when I'm asked by a CTO or CFO how to fit blockchain into their project that has no business using a public ledger for anything. Just so they can use the buzzwords attached to their product.
